Seems it's that time of year again, where we pack away the swimsuits and shorts, replacing them with the sweaters, jeans, jackets, coats and accessories (hats, scarves, umbrellas) that the increment and cooler weather of Fall seem to demand.
In addition to the cooler weather, some of us are preparing for upcoming family holidays that may or may not include travel plans. Whether we are hosting our own parties or planning to attend dinners at our friends or relatives houses, we want to be comfortable while looking our fashionista best.
So many events and activities take place from Halloween until New Year's that we can become worn out from all the planning, shopping and work that it takes just to get up in the morning. Factor in work, childcare or spending time with an SO and you can imagine the number of wardrobe changes involved.
Never fear fashionistas, as some great styles in cold weather dressing, party frocks and accessories are available for all your needs. Although I have made it a tradition to go out on Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving) for shopping the sales, I have found that online sopping offers many benefits for those of us who have trouble finding their sizes in clothing, including shoes, in the stores.
Retail stores have limited space and therefore, do not stock all the sizes that are available. Many times, you can find great bargains online that are not offered in the stores. And, if you see something in a store that you like (especially with shoes, boots and athletic shoes), you can have them order the items and ship free to the store. Sometimes, they even ship free to your home.
Here, in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Oregon, manufacturers such as Columbia Sportswear, Nike and North Face, specialize in warm weather gear. So, whether you are walking to the bus or walking the dog, running, jogging, biking, skiing or beach combing, your clothing needs have been addressed.
