Spring is finally on the way and what better time to look for a great light-weight yarn to knit with, after all the wool has been packed away? This year seems to hold a world market flavor,
as many yarns come from overseas. Whether Many new yarns (and old favorites) are coming back on the knit scene, with many wonderful patterns included. The most choices for Spring are varied, based on color and fiber content.
Rowan Softknit Cotton Yarn, is a lovely yarn that comes in six colors. With a blended fiber content of 92% cotton and 8% polyamide, it makes for a textural look. Each skein contains 115 yds of colorful appeal. The gauge is 5 sts/in on a US 7 needle @ $8.95 each. Made in Italy.
Tahki Cotton Classic Lite Yarn is a 100% mercerized cotton, 2-sportweight yarn.
Mercerized cotton yarns are ideal for the prevention of garment stretching out, typical of
cotton yarns. Each 50g balls contains 146 yds of delightful textile @ @6.95 each.
Made in Greece.
Cascade Avalon Yarn is a 4-Worsted, blended yarn of 50% cotton/50% acrylic, which
would be a softer, finer yarn, idea for shawl and knit tops. At 175 yds per 100g skein, it
yields a gauge of 16-18 sts per 4" (US 7-8 needle).

Debbie Bliss Juliet - is a multi-colored, fingering weight blend yarn of 52% cotton and
48% acrylic. Many colors to chose from make this an ideal sock yarn. Each 50g ball equals 120m (approx. 130 yds).
